Mabel M. Martin, 94, of Norfork died Thursday (Jul 16, 1992) at Pine Lane Healthcare at Mt. Home.
Services will be at 2PM today at Kirby Funeral Home with the Rev. C. Waymon Hollis officiating. Burial will be at the Norfork Cemetery.
A homemaker, Mrs. Martin was a Methodist and was active in the Democrat party.
She was born May 15, 1898, at Welden, AR, daughter of Samuel Hardee and Martha Emily Dameron Brown. She had lived in Baxter County since moving from Bergman in 1920.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jorayne and Jeff Hackler of Mt. Home; a brother, George Brown of Kansas City; four sisters, Opal White of Wenatchee, WA, Fleeda Park of Springfield, MO, Joyce McIntosh of Austin, TX and Fern Gillihan of Placerville, CA; a granddaughter and her husband, Lynne and Andy Whitfield of Mt. Home; and two great granddaughters, Jo Ellen White of Fayetteville and Amy Lynne Flowers of Tulsa. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph C. Martin and two sisters.
Pallbearers are Norris Whitfield, Richard Sheid, Fred Greer, Joe Edmonds, Bob Hackler and Andy Whitfield.
The family suggested memorials to the Norfork Cemetery or to the First United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral Directors.
