Services for I. Robert Luther of Norfork will be 10AM today at Norfork First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Forrest Bynum officiating. Mr. Luther died Sunday (Aug 27, 1995) at Baxter County Regional Hospital. He was 70.
Mr. Luther was born at Norfork on Sep 25, 1924, to Charles H. and Opal Edith Finley Luther. He married Juanita M. Hall on Nov 20, 1948, at Yellville. A lifelong Norfork resident, he was a carpenter, belonged to the Norfork First Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening.
Mr. Luther was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles H. Luther, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita, M. Luther of Norfork; three sons, John Luther, Charles Luther and Glenn Luther, all of Mt. Home; one daughter, Marilyn McCurdy of Nixa, MO; two sisters, Clara LaVerne McVey of Springfield, MO and Kathryn Bittick of Albany, GA; six grandchildren, Paul and Greta Luther, Travis and Kelly McCurdy and Niki and Robert Luther; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Paul Luther, Paul Luther, Roger Pitchford, Gene Alexander, Louis Alexander and F.L. 'Lefty; Harvey. Burial will be in Norfork Cemetery.
Memorial may be made to Norfork Cemetery Association.
