Funeral services were held at 2PM Thursday of last week at the Norfork Baptist Church for James Thomas Lackey, age 64, who died in a Kansas City, MO, hospital on January 19. Rev. Oba Ford of Midway officiated.
Mr. Lackey, a retire farmer, was born at Iuka on June 26, , 1894, and was a life long resident of the Norfork area. His parents were Robert Lee Lackey and Nancy Hively Lackey, both natives of Arkansas.
Mr. Lackey was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Oral Lackey of Norfork; five sons, Darrel of Norfork Dannie and Coleman of Kansas City, MO and Orval and Don of Norfork; two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Felton of Amarillo, Texas and Mrs. Annis Walker of Flint, MI; 13 grandchildren, a brother, Bryan Lackey of Fittstown, OK and sister, Mrs. Arcus Cunningham of Happy, Texas.
Interment was in the Norfork Cemetery, with the Roller Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
