Myrl Estes Helm, 76, died Thursday at Baxter Manor Nursing Home. She was a housewife and a member of East Side Baptist Church. She was a resident of Mt. Home for the past 58 years.
Born Dec 13, 1907, at Guion, she was the daughter of the late Lucy Taylor Johnson and Perry Johnson. She and the late Floyd Robert Helm were married Aug 20, 1924 at Anderson.
Mrs. Helm was also preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, four brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include one son, Delbert Helm of Ogden, UT; on daughter, Myrtle Hill of Mt. Home; two sisters, Cora Anderson of Picher, OK and Pearl Nelson of Lepanto; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday at East Side Baptist Church with Rev. Byron Allen officiating. Interment took place at Norfork Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Willie Nelson, Jimmy Nelson, Billy Nelson, James Toombs, James Whitehead, and Earnest 'Doc' Henderson. Honorary pallbearers were Douglas Perry, Steven Helm and Russell Helm.
