A funeral Mass for Loretta K. Biehler of Norfork will be at 10AM Thursday at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Mrs. Biehler died Monday (Feb 26, 2001) at her residence. She was 78.
She was born Jan 18, 1923, at Wheatland, WY, to the late Patrick J. and Mary A. Ferguson Mullen. Mrs. Biehler was lieutenant in the Women's Army Corps during World War II. She married the late Leo V. Biehler on April 23, 1946, in CO. She was a registered nurse for 40 years and retired as Marion County Health Administrator. She lived in Jordan since 1968, moving from CO.
Mrs. Biehler was a volunteer for Hospice of the Ozarks and Baxter County Health Department. She was a Baxter Regional Medical Center Auxiliary pink lady, and a member of the Council of Catholic Women and Homemakers Extension Club. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and making crafts. She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church.
She is survived by a son, Rich Biehler and wife, Louann, of Mt. Home; daughters, Barbara Pate and husband, Dick of Jordan, Kathy Stamphill and husband, Dennis of Castle Rock, CO, and Janet Turbett and husband, John of Elizabeth, CO; a brother, Jack Mullen of Wheatland, WY; a sister Margaret Smith of Concord, CA; grandchildren, Kent, Lori, Bill, Stacy, Chad, Ed, Marta, Chrissy and Brian; and a great grandchild, Kaylene. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.
Visitation will be from 1-9PM today at Roller Funeral Home with family visitation from 2-4PM. A Vigil service will be at 3:30PM today.
Burial will be in Norfork Cemetery. Graveside military services will be by the North Central Arkansas Veterans Council with an honor guard by Alley-White American Legion Post 52.
Pallbearers will be her grandson, Brian Biehler and neighbors, R.J. Smith, James Mattix, Odale Luster, David Fielding and Dean Cullen.
Memorial may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
