He was a son of Patrick Murphy and Marie Annette Epnett Murphy, both of Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, F.D. and Joan Epnett. Other survivors include two daughters, Erica Murphy and Krystina Murphy, both of Wisconsin; two sisters, Sarah Lowe of Wisconsin and Amanda Murphy of Tennessee; and his grandparents, Ambrose Murphy and Dorothy Murphy, both of Wisconsin. He was living in Covington, Tennessee, at the time of his death.
