STEELEY, Dan - Dan Steeley died of consumption on last Thursday at the home of his father-in-law, Wm. Mayers, who resides on Sugar Creek. Mr. Steeley returned from Texas about two weeks ago where he went in hopes of benefitting his health, but he came back without receiving any benefit. He was 27 years of age and had spent most of his life near this city. He was an honest, upright man and was well liked by everyone with whom he came in contact. He leaves a wife and one child, besides numerous other relatives. His remains were laid to rest in the Oaks graveyard.
