Enlisted 4/17/1941 with Illinois National Guard 130th Infantry. Received his commission on 8/26/1942 as a Warrant Officer. Served with 44th Infantry Division during the Korean conflict. Discharged in 1952 with the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
