Article in the March 21, 1940 edition, Front page:
“All died in a fire at their home Saturday, near Shirley (AR), Husband Otis (was) not expected to live, (Mother/wife) Sallie Allen’s brother Tom Treece died the next day, Sallie and all the children were buried in the same casket. Mrs. Sallie Allen was a widow before marrying Mr Allen. Her previous husband Floyd McCoy died in France during WWI.”

Obviously, Willard was buried at sea. This would be a cenotaph for him. Willard was 19 years, 4 months, and 21 days old when he was most likely, killed in Action. If anyone has access to records for Willard, please email me?
