Oliver Francis Slyter, 85, of Rogers, died Wednesday at Rogers Memorial Hospital.
He was born August 30, 1892, in Wichita, Kan. He was a retired truck driver with Gillstrap Lumber Company. He was an Army veteran of World War I, and a member of the United Methodist Church in Bentonville.
Survivors include his wife, Maud Slyter of Rogers; two sons, Jack Slyter of Rogers and Richard Slyter of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a stepson, Louis Brown of Rogers; a stepdaughter, Marie Rolland of Garfield; a brother, Sylvester Slyter of Wichita; two sisters, Elmina Stice and Ruth Clark, both of Wichita; 15 grandchildren 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will he at 10 a.m. Friday in the Callison Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers with Rev. L.L. Rader officiating. Burial will be in the Rogers Cemetery.
