Mrs. Alto Sinclair, 74, Rt. 3, El Dorado, died Firday in a local hospital. She was born July 16, 1894, in Union County and was the daughter of Thomas and Clemmie Jerry. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Clifton Alphin, Schuler Community, Mrs. J. T. Alphin, Mrs. James Major, and Mrs. Virgil Sinclair, all of El Dorado; three sons, Bernie E. Sinclair, James Dewitt Sinclair, and George P. Sinclair, all of El Dorado; one brother John Jerry, Urbana; 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Philadelphia Baptist Church with the Rev. Clyde Duke, the Rev. Clay Hale and the Rev. J. C. Tipton officiating. Burial will follow in the Rhodes Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home. The body will be at the James Dewitt Sinclair home in El Dorado from 8 p.m. Friday until 12:30 p.m. Sunday. (El Dorado Times - June 14, 1969)
