Services for 64-year-old Glenn Greer of Mt. Home will be at 2PM Sunday at Galatia Assembly of God Church with Pastor Jerry Smith and the Rev Tom Stover officiating. Mr. Greer died Thursday (Dec 7, 2000) at Baxter Regional Medical Center.
He was born Nov 12, 1936, at Norfork to James and Evah Greer. He married Judy Fuller on May 8, 1996 at Mt. Home. He was a lifetime resident of the area.
Mr. Greer was a mechanic and owned and operated Greer's Garage on Highway 5 South for 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking and driving down dirt roads. He also played the guitar, mandolin and the dobro. He was a member of the Galatia Assembly of God and Arkana Baptist Churches.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home; one son, Greg Greer and wife, Trish, of San Francisco, CA; One stepson Dwayne Collins and wife LeAnne, of Jasper; two step grandchildren, Jacob and Carissa Collins of Jasper; two brothers, Vero Greer and wife, Mary, of Norfork, and Lynn Greer and wife, Roberta, of Norfork; three sisters, Virgie Whitfield and husband, Row, of Norfork, Berlie Harris, of St. Joe, MO, Thelma Jeffries and husband, Paul, of Polo, MO; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; step mother, Rosalee Greer; and one brother.
Burial will be at Norfork Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tom Tulgetsky, Dave Ogborn, Paul Doak, Ross Alexander, Chris Wilson and Doyle Cope. Honorary pallbearers will be T.W. Wilson, Orbie Whitaker, and Ed Whitaker.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
