MILLER, Mrs. Willis (WALSWORTH) - Mrs. Willis Miller died at Ft. Scott, Kansas on last Thursday of typhoid fever. The funeral was held at the First Presbyterian church on Sunday. The remains were brought to Rogers on Sunday and were interred in the cemetery at Oakley Chapel on Monday morning. The remains were accompanied here by Mr. Miller, his son, Frank, being a married man who resides east of here, while the other three are only small boys, and by Mrs. Miller's parents, Stephen Walsworth and wife of Jones county, Iowa. Four daughters of the deceased have been buried within the past two months and the only remaining one is seriously ill with the typhoid fever at Ft. Scott and is hardly expected to live. Mrs. Miller was 40 years old and had been married 24 years. She came to Benton county with her husband in March 1894 and went to Ft. Scott in November 1897. Mr. Miller and family came here from Iowa, from Carroll county - the same as the Democrat editors - and we know personally that the high esteem with which Mrs. Miller was held in the north is not greater than that of those who knew her here. The Democrat tenders its heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
