Tammy Sue Casey
Oct 4, 1971 - Feb 8, 2025

On February 8th, 53-year-old Tammy Sue Casey tragically passed away at Baptist Springhill Hospital after having an RSV induced pneumonia that hospitalized her for twelve hours before being tragically incapacitated by a blood clot in the brain. Tammy passed while being surrounded by her loved ones: husband, children, sister and in-laws. Tammy was born in Harlingen, Texas on the 4th of October, 1971. She grew up as a military brat following her father to his assignments in Panama, Oklahoma, Germany and finally to Arkansas. As a military spouse, she lived in Germany three separate tours for a combined 11 years, Maryland three tours for a combined nine years, South Korea for three years and Arizona for three years.

She was the rock for her family, inspiring others to do their best with a happy heart. Wherever she went, she would brighten her surroundings with her warm affectionate smile. Tammy was an amazing God-loving woman who made fast friends wherever she went, with best friends spread out around the world, many of them planning to attend her Celebration of Life and even give a eulogy.

Tammy had homeschooled all eight of her children and had been teaching elementary Spanish at the Abundant Life Christian Academy in Sherwood this school year. She had recently landed her “dream job” volunteering three hours every Monday at the Children’s Hospital, specifically the cardiac ward, the exact place she spent a month with her three-month-old child as he recovered from an open-heart surgery.

This wonderful woman was preceded in death by her mother Carolyn Bohannon and step-father Stan Bohannon.

She is survived by her husband Joe Casey Jr, sons: RJ (Stephanie) Casey, Daniel Casey, Trey (Azariah) Casey and Ernie Casey, daughters: Milaya (Kevin) Crowder, Joy Casey, Hope Casey and Luby Casey, grandchildren: Caspian Crowder, Milo Crowder, Danae Crowder, Eowyn Crowder, Kekoa Casey, Danny Stewart, Aiden Cervantes, Liam Cervantes, Michael Redding, Axeton Oblander, Hazel Casey, Ivan Franklin and Carolyn Casey, father Robert (Donna) Beasley and sister Debi Beasley.

Tammy was greatly loved by her family, friends, students and peers, and enjoyed showing hospitality, studying the Bible and praying for anyone who needed prayer. She loved animals and lived the vegan lifestyle.

We will celebrate this beautiful, loving woman and the life she lived at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship located at 7351 Warden Road, Sherwood AR on the 22nd of February at 11:00. We ask for you to wear her favorite color (any shade of purple) and remember all she has done and her beautiful smile.
