James “Preacher” Leonard Patton, 77, of Mabelvale, Arkansas died August 24, 2021. He was born June 24, 1944 in Washington, Arkansas to James and Velmer Trammell Patton. Mr. Patton loved music. He enjoyed push mowing yards, the people of Mabelvale knew James because he always walked around pushing his lawn mower. It was typical to be called his “girlfriend” if he knew you.
Mr. Patton was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Batchlor; and sister, Birdie Yarbrough.
He is survived by his three sisters, Freddy Tackett of North Little Rock, AR, Betty Miller of Hope, AR and Molly Sewell of Hope, AR; one brother in law, Dale Edward Yarbrough of Mabelvale, AR and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Graveside services will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 at 10:00A.M. at Moonshine Cemetery in Washington, AR under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home.
