A. Barton, aged 79 died Tuesday afternoon in a local hospital. He came to Camden from Chidester in 1951, and made his home at 527 Texas St. Mr. Barton was a member of the Missouri Methodist Church, near Chidester. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jimmie Lue Barton; two daughters, Mrs. Susie Adams of Camden and Mrs. Mattie Atterberry of Conway; three sons, James Barton of Shreveport, La., Robert Barton of Camden and Johnny Barton of Gurdon; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Bluff City Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (Camden News - April 26, 1967)
