Joe Rodriguez passed away October 14, 2024 at the age of 79. He was born in Longview, TX on April 28, 1945 to Pedro and Maria Rodriguez.
He graduated high school in 1963. He joined the USAF after graduating high school and served from 1963-1987. Following retirement, he was hired as a C-130 Loadmaster contract instructor changing contractors several times before finishing his time with Lockheed Martin following 21 years of instruction from 1987-2018. He volunteered as a Scout Leader, a baseball, football coach and worked for many years at the youth center where he influenced many children whom to this day still contacted him and remained close. He enjoyed fishing, sports Boston specifically and Jimmy Buffet concerts. He loved spending time with his family friends and especially his grandchildren. Joe never met a stranger and was a very outgoing person. He was kind, generous, courageous, devoted airman, a loving soul who will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Pedro Rodriguez, Mother, Maria de la Luz Moreno Rodriguez and sisters, Domilita Hipalgo, Flora Davis RodrÃguez, Alice Rodriguez, Teresa Hill and Brothers Pete Rodriguez, Henry Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez, Thomas Rodriguez, and Robert Rodriguez.
He leaves behind the love of his life his wife Christine Rodriguez his sons, Joey, Patrick, Jason and Todd and one daughter Laura and step children Shannon Jones and Sean Keath, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
