"Boo"
February 24, 1969 - May 6, 2017
Arthur Joseph "Boo" Thurmon age 48 of Three Creeks Community passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. Boo was born on February 24, 1969 in Raceland, LA to parents, Ella Verdin Thurmon and Mickey Joe Thurmon. Boo was a logger by profession and was a friend to everyone he knew. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, riding 4 wheelers and was always working on something. Even though he might not have felt good, he never complained, always had a positive attitude and enjoyed joking around with everyone. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother and friend to all. Most importantly, Boo wanted everyone to know that he was a saved man and that he knew where he would spend eternity.
Boo was preceded in death by his grandparents; Miguel and Angelina Verdin, Inez Patterson and Henry Thurmon.
Those left to cherish his memory include; his wife of 28 years, Rhonda Sweet Thurmon of Three Creeks; one daughter, Lakeon Paige Thurmon of Fayetteville, AR; one son, Austin Gage Thurmon of Three Creeks; his parents, Mickey and Ella Thurmon of Spearsville; two brothers, Peanut Thurmon and wife Rhonda of Junction City and Henry Joe Thurmon of Spearsville; one sister, Angie Olk and husband Alex of Euless, TX; grandfather, Claude Patterson and wife Pat of Spearsville; his K9 companion, Nezzy along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Corney Creek Baptist Church in Three Creeks.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Corney Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Earnest McAdams, Bro. Tim Hogue and Bro. Claude Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Jolley Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
