Husband of Judy K. Walton
March 29, 1928 - May 21, 2010
James Barry "J.B." Walton, 82, of El Dorado, went to meet his Lord on Friday, May 21, 2010, at Medical Center of South Arkansas.
J.B. was born on March 29, 1928 in Waskom, Texas, the son of William Lewis Walton and Nancy Elizabeth Huckabee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was retired from Columbian Chemical Co. He loved to garden, hunt, fish and to sing gospel music. He was a faithful member of Corney Creek Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who cherished his family. He will be greatly missed.
J.B. was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Sterling and Lewis Walton; and a sister, Ethel Jarrett.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Judy Walton of El Dorado; his children, Barry Walton and wife, Karen, of Norphlet, Dianne "Nan" Cole and her husband, Donny, of Junction City, Regina Cottrell and her husband, Donnie of El Dorado and Michael Cameron and his wife, Pam, of El Dorado; his brother, Raymon Walton of Russellville. His also survived by eight grandchildren, Donny Cole Jr, Sonja Gorman, Jared Walton, Janda Darden, Jeanne Griffin, Clay Cottrell, Ashley Cameron and Courtney Dameron; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Monday at Corney Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Earnest McAdams and L.E. McCullough officiating.
Internment will be in Jolley Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors in El Dorado.
