Coy Alton Turner, 63, of Little Rock won his battle with cancer on January 1, 2007 and peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by his family. Coy was owner/operator of Coy's Appliance Service for 25 years. Coy enjoyed camping, skiing and was happiest when he was with family and friends.
Coy was born January 29, 1943, in Duplin County, North Carolina to the late Rachel and George Turner. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gertrude Swinson (Odell) and brother, Roy Turner (Grace). He is survived by his best friend and wife of 43 years, Cathy Turner; son, Rick Turner (Kara) and daughter, Shelly Cline (David). He is survived by four sisters, Ida Mae Hill (Melvin, deceased), Arlean Lee (Bud, deceased), Magdaline Sanderson (Leon, Deceased) and Georgia Rochelle (Reuben). He had eight grandchildren and numerous brothers-and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and cousins who lovingly called him "Po."
A memorial service will be held in his hometown of Potters Hill, North Carolina. Funeral service will be Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 10:00 A.M., in the Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Chapel (501) 455-5800. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
