March 13, 1955 - August 9, 2024

Dr. Lynn Louise Rodgers, 69, of Huntsville, Arkansas, passed away August 9, 2024, at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehabilitation. She was born March 13, 1955, in El Paso, Texas, to James Oshell and Marilyn Faith Pettz Rodgers.

Lynn was an alumnus of the University of Arkansas then attended Louisiana State University to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She dedicated herself to caring for all God's creatures great and small. She was a fantabulous veterinarian and earned a deep respect from her peers, local farmers and pet parents during her many years of service. Her battle with adult-onset Muscular Dystrophy forced her into early retirement from veterinary practice. Lynn found life-long joy in farming and cherished her beloved fur children.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, James and Marilyn Rodgers; one brother, Michael Rodgers; one sister-in-law, Vickie Rodgers; and many fur children. She is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Dwight Holloway, of Illinois; Hallie and John Beer, of Huntsville; one brother, Robin Rodgers, of Huntsville; and one "adopted sister", Karen Smith, of Huntsville. She is also survived by three nephews, four nieces, and her dog "Rudy Blue."

In respect for Lynn's wishes, no services will be held, and her ashes will be scattered on her farm where many of her fur children have been laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lynn's name to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 1016 W Jackson Blvd #1073, Chicago, IL 60607; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or Paws and Claws Pet Shelter, PO Box 364, Huntsville, AR 72740. Cremation is entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
