*When Jasper Martin Luther Coker was born on October 16, 1870, in Tennessee, his father, John, was 35 and his mother, Nancy, was 27. He married Sarah Elizabeth George on December 24, 1893, in Hot Spring, Arkansas. They had five children in 15 years. He died on December 20, 1941, in Pulaski, Arkansas, at the age of 71.
