*Obituary
Mrs. Elizabeth Moncrief, age 75 years, died at her home in this city last Friday morning at 8:20. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W. G. Stainton and Mrs. Van Williams, both of Prescott. Mrs. Moncrief came to Prescott with her husband, the late Col. Otis Moncrief, in 1878, and had resided here continuously since. Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, by Rev. Pat Murphy and Rev. W. A. Forbes at the home of Mrs. Stainton, interment being at De Ann Cemetery. (The Nevada County Picayune - APril 26, 1923)
