Dewey Allen Oxley, age 78, of El Paso, Arkansas passed away on July 7, 2024. He was born on March 28, 1946. He married Connie Perot Oxley on June 16, 1977 in Ardmore Oklahoma.

Dewey is survived by his wife Connie Oxley; sons Dewey Oxley II and partner Stephanie Farmer, Tony Oxley and wife Carie Oxley, David Osborne and partner Jamie McCurley, Tracy Oxley and Keith Spanberger; daughter LaJuana Matkin and husband Raymond Matkin; sisters Judy Hazlett and husband Tim Hazzlett and Debbie Manwarin and husband David Manwarin; and one brother Jimmy Oxley. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a plethora of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ulus and Bertha May Brooks Oxley; brothers Ulus “Jay” Oxley Jr. and Roger Oxley; and sisters Purley Collins, Patsy Collins, Oleta Eldred, Alma Green and Virginia Oxley.

Dewey had an 6th grade education when he quit school to help take care of his siblings after his dad passed away. He was a carpenter by trade, building many houses, then went into metal roofing until retiring. He loved playing the guitar, singing, and tinkering in the junk business.

He will be missed by many.
