In celebration of the heart, soul, and life of Doyle Howard Cannady, who passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 surrounded by loved ones, we know he is with his favorite person in heaven now. As Kendall Diana Cannady age 8 said, “We are happy for him but sad for us because we will not see him until we go to heaven in the clouds.” such wisdom from the mouth of his granddaughter.

Doyle was born to Emma Letha Taylor Cannady and Hassell “Hack” Cannady on October 26th 1939 around the Benton, Arkansas area. After the untimely death of Emma when Doyle was only one year of age, Hack married Jewel Holcomb Cannady and she became the loving mother that Doyle knew throughout his life.
Doyle is survived by his son, Dayton Cannady of Bryant, Arkansas and two daughters Annita Blauser of Beebe, Arkansas and Michelle Woolverton of Sherwood, Arkansas, one brother Alvin Cannady of Reno, Nevada and one sister Sharon Cannady Rosenbaum of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma as well as six grandchildren Kendall Cannady, Sholey Woolverton, Colby Woolverton, Ashley Woolverton Reed, Brandon Bogard, and Brent Bogard, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Doyle is preceded in death by his best friend and wife Diana Jay Cannady, father Hack Cannady, and mother Jewel Cannady and Emma Taylor Cannady.
He worked as Vice President MIS Division Manager at First Commercial Bank where he retired in the year 2000 after Regions bought out First Commercial. In his retirement, he traveled, continued his self-education by reading, coding software and researching, writing many government officials, organized a colon cancer walk, ran for Governor in our state, enjoyed circus peanuts, Peanut Brittle and Boston Baked Beans candy coated peanuts as well as his daily coffee. Doyle was consistent always there when his family needed him; he loved his family well!
Thank you for attending his visitation at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home in Little Rock, Arkansas, November 12, 2019 from 6-8pm or his Memorial Service at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle, Arkansas on Wednesday November 13, 2019 as well as for all your prayers for our family.
