James L. “Jim” Cooper, 76, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in Fort Smith, AR.
He was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas to James E. and Marguerite (Deckard) Cooper.

He was a high school art teacher as well as an artist in his own right and of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be 1:00PM Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home with private burial to be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife LaBetha Cooper of Van Buren, AR, one daughter Leslie Chambers and her husband Jeff of Little Rock, AR; his sister, Donna James of Fort Smith, AR; two grandchildren Cameron and Caleb Chambers of Little Rock, AR; a brother-in-law, James Storment of Alma, AR; a niece, Amy Rowland of Greenwood, AR and a nephew, Chris Storment of Alma, AR.

Pallbearers are Bill James, Todd Rowland, Lowell Rathbun, A.C. Cooper, Don Mendenhall and Ed Nunley.
