*When Rufus Riley Hayden was born on September 1, 1880, in Petersburg, Indiana, his father, Hudson, was 35 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 32. He married Cecil Mae Scott on January 11, 1906, in Butler, Missouri. They had six children in 10 years. He died on August 10, 1948, in Paron, Arkansas, at the age of 67, and was buried there.
