November 19, 1919 - February 6, 1996
Nathan Chiles was the son of the Late Nathan and Mary I.Trotter Chiles. He attended Howard Elementary School and Lincoln High School, where he graduated with the Class of 1937. He also attended Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Nathan was a mem of the Lay Organization of Quinn Chapel, the Lincoln Alumni Association and the Progressive Men's Club where he served as treasurer. He was married to the late Dorothy McDade who preceded him in death while living in San Francisco. To this union they had three children, who also preceded him in death.
