Winnon McCann, 76, of Thornton died Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born February 4, 1936 in Calhoun County, Arkansas. He was retired from the Calhoun County Road Department and was also a retired Baptist minister. He is preceded in death by his parents, Birdie McCann and Madie Evans McCann and his wife, Dorothy Sue Skinner McCann. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Sue McCann of Bearden, J.D. and Kathy McCann of Thornton; two daughters, Becky Tipton and husband Greg of Dubach, LA and Mary West of Bearden; four sisters, Juanice Steger of Thornton, Erna Faye Grant of Thornton, Lanette Evans of Hampton and Nervelene Porter of Fayetteville, TN; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday at Benton Funeral Home. Burial at New Hope Cemetery near Hampton. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
