David Allen Webb, age 87, of Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, April 3. He was born September 5th, 1925 in Conway, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents Allen and Dudley Webb and his sister, Dorothy Wheeler. David was a 1946 graduate of Hendrix College and then taught at John Brown University. He served proudly in the US Army as a medic during the Korean War and then taught at Draughn’s Business College for 30 years before retiring in 1986. He touched the lives of thousands of students during his career at Draughn’s and everywhere he went for the rest of his life, he always encountered a former student. Upon retirement he had a second career doing clerical duties at Fort Roots Veteran’s Administration until he retired again in 2005. David was a life-long lover of music. He was a member of the Hendrix choristers back in the 1940’s, sang in church choirs at Second Baptist church, Parkview Christian, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and First Christian Church. He also sang in the Arkansas Choral Society for many years. David is survived by his wife, Margaret Pate Webb, his son , James Webb Cathy, his daughter, Virginia Boyett David, 2 grandsons, Michael and Stephen Johnson. Funeral services will be at Saturday, 2:00 p.m., April 6, at Parkview Christian Church, 400 Hardin Road #120, Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Parkview Christian Church.
