*William F Chastain served as a Private in Company H, Arkansas 4th Cavalry Regiment, enlisting on 14 Feb 1864 in Little Rock, Arkansas, Date of Death: 31 Jul 1876. William F Chastain was buried in Fowler Cemetery, Brazils, Saline County, Arkansas. At the time the headstone application was filed Brazils was a settlement in Saline County, Arkansas. Fowler Cemetery is located in current day Paron, Saline County, Arkansas. William F Chastain was the son of John Nicholson Chastain and his wife Elizabeth Self.
