Mr. Tommy Eubanks, 68, of Hamburg, died Monday, May 17, 2010 at his residence in Hamburg. Mr. Eubanks was a native of Ashley County and a former resident of West Monroe, Louisiana. He moved back to Hamburg in 1962. He was a Service Station Manager for many years and he served in the Arkansas National Guard. He was a member of the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church and he loved to work in his garden and cook.

He is preceded in death by a son, Allen Eubanks; his parents, Percy & Johnnie Smith Eubanks and two brothers, Bobby & Billy Eubanks.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Higginbotham Eubanks; two daughters, Alisa Ware and husband, Chris, and Andee Pennington and husband, Kevin, all of Hamburg; three sisters, Ruby Bennett of North Little Rock, Carolyn McDonald of West Monroe, Louisiana and Melba Walker of Shreveport, Louisiana; two sisters-in-law, Glenda Eubanks of West Monroe, Louisiana and Jeanette Eubanks of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Charlie, Corrie & Sydnie Ware, Percy & Payton Pennington and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 10 a.m., Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Reese, Rev. Charles Pullin & Rev. Eugene Howie officiating. Burial will be in the Promise Land Cemetery. Pallbearers are James Miller, Johnny Pierce, Joe Foote, Sidney Sammons, Chuck White, and Dewayne Broach. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy White, Steve Otwell and Buck Fryar. Memorials may be made to the Hamburg High School Scholarship Fund, PO Box 30, Hamburg, AR 71646.
