The following description of the Daniel Cemetery appears word for word below as it was written and published in the Ashley County Cemetery Book, with a handwritten notation on the burial of Catherine C. Daniel stating that she was the daughter of F.K. & Leta J. Daniel:
"Note by Frances T. (Daniel) (Bankston) Bankston (Mrs. Mercil):
This cemetery is located near Fountain Hill on the former William Daniel property which is now owned by Corene (McCombs) Hardy of Little Rock, Arkansas. Though there are no stones in the cemetery, it is well known locally, and a record of the people interred there has been kept by various members of the family through the years. This record is now in my custody and it is a true and accurate record of my ancestors who are buried in the Daniel Cemetery."
