Joe Thomas Frazier, 87, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 27th, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bess and Bob Frazier, his sister, Patsy, a son, David Frazier, and a daughter-in-law, Cindy Frazier.
He was a longtime resident of Pine Bluff, AR where he worked as a paper maker at International Paper Company for 34 years. One of the highlights of his career was traveling to Helsinki, Finland to learn computerized papermaking. Ultimately, he retired to his lake home near Lake Ouachita in Mt. Ida, AR where he was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed crappie fishing, crafting fishing lures, reading, and playing games with family & friends. He always looked forward to pizza and game day on Tuesday afternoons at the church.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 70 years, Ann Beseau Frazier; his daughter, Dr. Elizabeth Frazier; his son, Tom Frazier; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Williamson (Mitchell), Emily Blohm, Katherine Frazier, Dr. Jessie Frazier (Jason Bobo), Matthew Frazier, and Christian Frazier; two great grandchildren, Miles and Maddox Williamson.
There will be no formal visitation, a celebration of Joe’s life will be held privately by the family on Saturday July 31st. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be given to First Baptist Church Mt. Ida, 204 Luzerne St., Mt. Ida, AR 71957. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cremation Services of Arkansas (501)313-5431
