Larry Williams, 54, of North Little Rock died May 7th, 2010. He graduated from NLR H.S. in 1973 and attended Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. An avid backpacker, Larry hiked the entire Ouachita National Trail, and the Ozark Highlands Trail. And extensively explored the Buffalo River country. He also backpacked the Rocky Mountains and the Grand Canyon. His extensive knowledge of wilderness living was invaluable to the many friends he introduced to back packing, hiking trails, float rivers and streams in Arkansas, Arizona, and Colorado. He leaves behind a brother, John, in Oklahoma and many old friends and neighbors who will miss him. A remembrance gathering will be held at Burns Park, North Little Rock, Lookout Pavilion #11 on Saturday, July 10th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by Cremation Association of Arkansas, 201 N. Izard, Little Rock, AR 72201 501753-3200.
