Bert E. Gathercoal, 84, of Rogers, died Sunday, April 28, at his home.
He was born May 8, 1906, at Wilmette, Ill., to Jesse Gathercoal and Bertha Elizabeth Hall Gathercoal. He served in the U.S. Navy as a commander during World War II. He worked for 38 years with the Industrial Risk Insurers of Chicago. He moved to the Rogers area in 1977 from Woodstock, Ill.
Survivors are his wife, Florence "Peg" Gathercoal; a son, and two daughters.
Cremation was by Benton County Memorial Park. Arrangements were by Callison-Lough Funeral Service of Rogers.
