Huntsville — James Joseph Funk, 51, of Fayetteville, died Saturday in a Fayetteville hospital.
Born December 12, 1925, at Merian, Kansas, the son of Ed and Frances McGee Funk, he was a construction worker, a World War II veteran, and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Audie Tillery Funk of the home; two sons, James Edward and Kenny of the home; three daughters, Debbie, Kim, and Rita Kay, all of the home; one step-son, Frederick Dwayne McCollan of Fayetteville; one step-daughter, Mrs. Barbara Harrelson of Fayetteville; two sisters, Judy Funk of Calif., and Mrs. Ruth Block of Olathe, Kansas; and three step-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday at Brasheers Funeral Chapel; with burial in the National Cemetery.
