ROGERS — Don O. Schneck of Rogers died July 27, 2007. He was born Sept. ll, 1923, in Muscatine, Iowa to Jacob and Bertha Smith Schneck. He grew up in Joy, Ill., before enlisting in the Navy. His Navy tours included flying with Squadron VPB128 in World War II and being stationed in many of the states. He served in the Navy 23 years, retiring as a lieutenant to Opalocka, Fla.
He went to Miami-Dade Junior College. He ran Opalocka Realty for 44 years. He relocated to Rogers in 2004.
Survivors include his wife, Claire Eyva Giammarco Schneck, to whom he married on Sept. 3, 1945; his children, Claire D. and husband Stephen of Letourneaux, Brillion, Wis., Don J. and wife Cody of Rogers and Cassandra J. McNeil and Keith of Rogers; seven grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren.
A Mass of resurrection was held Aug. 1 at Holy Family Parish in Brillion with the Rev. Mathew Simonar and Stephen Letourneaux officiating.
Burial will be Tuesday at National Cemetery in Fayetteville.
