August 14, 1989 - January 19, 2012
James Christopher Elmore Jr., age 22, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2012. He was born on August 14, 1989 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Christopher was of Baptist faith. He was a graduate of Lake Hamilton High School in 2008 and was attending National Park Community College. He held the honor of Eagle Scout obtained with Troop #10 in Hot Springs. Chris had an adventurous soul-riding motorcycles is where he found inner peace and freedom. His passion for life included fishing, hunting, wakeboarding, and playing pool. He was a member of the APA pool League. Chris never met a stranger. His family and friends will miss his humor, spirit for life, his warm embracing hugs, and his love. Through his journey the past six months, he has touched numerous lives and the family would like to acknowledge the ICU, C5, 3 west, and the entire staff of St. Joseph's Mercy Medical Center along with Arkansas Hospice of Hot Springs for their support and compassion. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, C.J. Young; his grandmother, Patricia Guinn; two uncles, Jonathan young and Eli Guinn. He is survived by his parents, Randy and Malissa Hall of Hot Springs, and James C. Elmore, Sr. of Benton, and Annette Elmore of Paron; one grandmother, Patricia Young of Hot Springs; one grandfather, James N. Elmore of Hot Springs; his great-grandparents, J.O. and Susan Davis; ten brothers and sisters, Justin Hall of Hot Springs, Haley Hall of Hot Springs, Emily Elmore of Fountain Lake, Josh Brancca of California, Danielle Brancca of Little Rock, Shawn Ward of California, Mindy Adamson of Hot Springs, Michelle Clark of Glenwood, Melissa Harmon of Glenwood, and Tyler Fenney of Hot Springs; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, in the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Hot Springs on Weston Road with Bro. George Vincent and Pastor Ron Ray officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Morning Star Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Pallbearers will be Justin Hall, Randall Lynch, Gregg Hernandez, Matt Boyd, Trace Young, Danielle Brancca, Josh Brancca, and Nathan Calcagno. Honorary pallbearers will be all Troop #10 Scouts and the APA Pool League. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Boy Scout Troop #10, Oaklawn United Methodist Church, 216 Higdon Ferry Road, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71913.
