David Pratt, 74, of Hot Springs passed away Monday, September 6, 2021. He was born March 25, 1947 one of 13 children to the late Mamie Nobles Pratt and John Pratt in Hot Springs. He was predeceased by his parents; siblings, Leroy Pratt, Richard Pratt, Sara Loden, Bertha Henson, Carleen Sorter, Barbara Pratt, Sue Qualls and Donnie Pratt; and one grandson, Jason Smoot.
David was a Master Carpenter for most of his life which he renovated historical buildings, hospitals, hotels along with commercial and residential, including his own home. He served six years in the Army National Guard in Radio Communications. David loved being outside on his tractor and enjoyed watching generations of deer that lived on his property. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene for 21 years and Pratt Hunting Club. David loved his wife, kids and grandkids.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Donna Pratt; his children, Tim & Kathy Pratt and Amanda & Wesley Carpenter; his siblings, Mary & Ron Daniels, Bill & Carol Pratt, Cathy & Gerald Ward and Bob Pratt; his grandchildren, Miranda & Andrew Pennington, Jeremy Pratt and Jake Pratt; his great grandchildren, Carly Porter, Abbie Pennington and Bianca Pennington; multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM Thursday, September 9th at Hot Springs Funeral Home with services to follow at 11:00 AM with Pastors Ken Carney and Jay Vestal officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star Cemetery.
Pallbearers are RC Henson, Greg Pratt, Clay Pratt, Dewayne Pratt, Billy Pratt and Eric Pratt. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Timothy English and Arkansas Hospice.
