November 28, 1930 - March 28, 2016
Murl D. Morris, age 85 of Hot Springs, died Monday, March 28, 2016.
He was born on November 11, 1930 in Pocahontas, the son of Dewey Nelson Morris and Mary Ethel Butler Morris. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willa Dean Morris; three brothers, Don, Nelson and Chester; and three sisters Eula, Francis and Eunice.
Murl was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Bismarck. He was a strong Christian man that loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, M. Dale and Debbie Morris of Granbury, Texas and Randy and Cissy Morris of Hot Springs; three daughters and two sons-in-laws, Vickie and Richard Gilliam, Jr. of Hot Springs, Deborah G. Morris of Keller, Texas and Rhonda and Greg Vaughn of Hot Springs; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Jesse and June Morris of San Angelo, Texas; two sisters, Zola Morris of Knoxville, Tennessee and Ruby Johnson of Ponca City, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of wonderful friends.
There will be a service at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff of Montgomery County Nursing Home and the staff of Arkansas Hospice.
