Cecil Avalon Carmical, age 79, Warren, AR. died Thursday August 3, at BCMC. He was born October 13, 1926 in Warren, AR. a son of the late Patrick L. Carmical and Maggie Beatrice Doggett Carmical. He was a retired assistant manger Southern Retail Yard, member Calvary Baptist Church and a World War II Army veteran. Also, preceding him in death was a daughter Judy Hudspeth.
Survivors are his wife Clydine Williams Carmical whom he married July 1, 1944. 1 daughter Lynda Kaye Yocum, Vicksburg, MS. 1 brother Rev. Leon Carmical, Sumrall, MS. 4 sisters Marvilene Nicholson, Warren, AR., Martha Reynolds, Hermitage, AR., Jo Nell Norris, Monticello, AR. Wanda Gambill, Warren, AR. 5 granddaughters Alisha Ford, West Terre Haute, IN., Amy Carley, Columbia, MS., April Taylor, Marion, AR., Angela Droese, Harrisonville, MO., Desire'e Timmons, Olathe, KS. 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Sunday August 6, at Calvary Baptist Church by Rev. Leon Carmical, Rev. Charles Atteberry and Rev. A. D. Livingston. Robin Young was the organist and Kathy Morman, Bob Haygood, Amy Carley, April Taylor, Angela Droese and Desire'e Timmons were the soloist. Burial was in Moseley Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Rod Nicholson, Michael Reynolds, Danny Norris, Pat Carmical, Chris Carmical, Gary Gambill, Richard Gambill and Greg Morman. Honorary pallbearers were Terry Gambill, members of Brown Lite Sunday School Class, Herbert Carter, Matthew Pennington, Phillip Wylie, Buck Thomason, Bobby Calloway, Pat Morman and Chuck Harrod and the Honor Guard from the Bradley County Veterans Museum. Memorials preferred Bradley County Veterans Museum or Calvary Baptist Church.
