James Albert Turner, 78, of Fort Smith, Arkansas died Sunday, September 12, 2004. He was a retired quality inspector for Riverside Furniture, a member of Northside Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II.

Funeral was held at 10, a.m. at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Roselawn Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters, a son, three brothers, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Minnie
October 17, 1922 - April 2, 2014

Minnie L. Turner, 91, of Fort Smith, died April 2, 2014 in Fort Smith. She was born October 17, 1922 in Redland, Oklahoma to the late Albert and Edna Burcham Bailey. Minnie was a homemaker and a member of Fort Smith First Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Debra, Patsy and Edna Turner all of Fort Smith; her daughter in law, Pat Turner; her brother Homer Bailey of Fresno, California; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, James A. Turner and her son, Harold Turner; her brothers, Delbert, Hoover, Grover, Lewis, John, Charley, Olen and Luther Bailey and her sisters, Ica Collins and Louzena and Bonnie Bailey.

Minnie was also survived by her 2nd family, the people she lived with for the last 10 months of her life at Methodist Health and Rehab. Minnie was loved and cared for by those special people who even had names for her, Granny, Miss Minnie, Minnie Boo and other terms of endearment. They were a special part of her life and her family.

Graveside services will be 10:00am Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Roselawn Cemetery. Viewing will be from 8:00am to 5:00pm Friday, April 4, 2014 at Edwards Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
