July 17, 1930 - April 10, 2008
Paul W. Ulmschneider of Fort Smith(Sebastian County), Arkansas, died Thursday, April 10, 2008, in his home. He was 77 years old. Mr. Ulmschneider was a retired Quality Control worker for General Electric. After his retirement from General Electric, he taught in the Business and Industrial Institute at Westark College(now University of Arkansas Fort Smith). He was a devoted member of Immaculate Comception Church and was a proud U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Ulmschneider was an Eagle Scout, a volunteer for the Fort Smith Literacy Council, and was on the Library Board. He was also a past secretary of the Noon Exchange, and was a member fo the Knights of Columbus. Besides all this, Mr. Ulmschneider made time to work in the Lupus Foundation.
Mr. Ulmschneider was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survied by his wife, Barbara Ulmschneider; his sons: Stephen and his wife, Joanne Ulmschneider of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Dr. Phillip and his wife, Conni Wulmschneider of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his step-daughter: Tricie Daves of Nashville, Tennessee; and 6 precious grandchildren: Ashley, Lindsay, mathieu, Kristin, Jordan and Alec Ulmschneider.
Funeral service was held at the Immaculate Conception Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas on Saturday, April 12, 2008. Father Stan Tabor officiated the services.
