Husband of Rosa B Downs Simpkins
James “Jim” Simpkins, 91, of Fort Smith, died Monday, March 14, 2016. in Fort Smith.
He was born Dec. 11, 1924, in Fort Smith.
He was a retired buyer for Speer Hardware, a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Spradling Avenue Baptist Church, where he was a deacon.
Graveside service with Navy honoros will be 1 p.m. Friday at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie; one daughter, Melissa Parker of Fort Smith; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
