Claiborne Bowden, husband of Nancy Jordan, was the son of James and Jane Bowden. He was born in North Carolina and died in Jackson Co., AR. He was enumerated in the 1850 census of Tippah Co, MS, and in the 1880 census of Benton Co., MS (Beat 1). Prior to his relocation to Arkansas he lived in Grand Junction, TN.
