ROGERS — A longtime Rogers resident, Betty Jeanette Harris, 79, died at Circle of Life Hospice surrounded by her close family on April 30, 2022. She was born in Rogers, Arkansas, on December 11, 1942, where she lived until her passing. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Winnie Lee Nida Harris and Lee Roy Harris; and her siblings, Willie Dew Harris Kerr, Ralph "Buck" Harris, and Lynne Mae Harris. Betty is survived by her sister, Sally Ann Harris Fletcher of Dallas; and was a beloved aunt to three predeceased and eleven surviving nieces and nephews and their families. Betty Jeanette was the youngest of the five Harris children. She attended school in Rogers and graduated from Rogers High School in 1960. Her father passed away about the same time. Betty and her mother shared a life after that, in their family home a few blocks from downtown Rogers. Betty worked at Bear Brand Hosiery, in Bentonville, for years and enjoyed playing the piano in her leisure time. Some of the family's best memories were made on her front porch swing or walking around in the garden. We are all saddened by Betty's passing. At her request, Betty was laid to rest by her mother and father in a private burial ceremony at Rogers Cemetery on May 3rd, 2022.
