January 27, 1943 - May 9, 2017
Carl Joe Breshears of Hot Springs went to be with Jesus May 9, 2017. Carl was born January 27, 1943, in Blakely, Arkansas, to Jesse and Mildred Breshears. His family moved to California later that year, where he attended school in Farmersville and graduated from Exeter High School in Exeter, California.
Carl enjoyed meeting new people and was always anxious to help friends and neighbors when needed. He attended the Freewill Baptist Church in Farmersville, California. Carl retired from Early California Foods in Visalia, California and moved to Hot Springs in 2011. His pride and joy was a 1995 Chevrolet Silverado pickup. He and his brothers enjoyed riding motorcycles in California, and he and his brother, Greg, had many good times during Carl’s years in Arkansas. He was a dear brother and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jesse; nephew, Jeremy; great-nephew, William; and great-niece Phyllis. He missed Rocky, a purebred boxer, who was his faithful companion for many years.
Survivors include sons, Matthew, Bryce, Anthony, and Nathan; brothers, Jerry (Barbara) of Arizona, Gregory (Terrie) of Hot Springs; sisters, Joyce (Leon) of California, Inez (Arley) of California, Pam of Hot Springs; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of Carl’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Morning Star Cemetery with Pastor Andrew Gonzalez officiating.
