Ralph Wesley Phillips II, 66, of Tulsa died Oct.
9, 2015.
Wes was born Oct. 24, 1948, in Wewoka, Okla., to the family of Ralph Wesley Phillips and Willie Bea Haning Phillips.

After graduating from Wichita High School West in 1966, he attended Friends University of central Kansas, and then began his lifelong career in the insurance business.

For 28 years, he was an agent for the Farmers Insurance Group and was presently a partner at Sawyer-Phillips and Associates Inc.

Wes was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Wesley Phillips, and he is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ware Phillips of Tulsa; his mother, Willie Bea Phillips and her sister Ann Phillips, both of Tulsa; one daughter, Destinie Whitfield and her husband Jeff of Owasso, Okla.; one stepdaughter, Ashley Scott of Arlington, Texas; one granddaughter, Shelby Billings-Phillips of Tulsa; three grandsons, Braden, Devan and Ethan Scott all of Arlington; two nephews, Drew Phillips of Stillwater, Okla., and Kevin Ware DVM of Durham, N.C.; one niece, Katie Ware Ph.D. of Durham, N.C.; one sisterin- law, Janelle Ware of Tulsa; two brothers-in law, Gaylon Ware and his wife Maureen of Little Rock and Byron Ware and his wife Linda of Fort Smith.

Graveside service and burial of cremains will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
