"A tender Mother and a faithful friend."
Henrietta F. Ray, widow of W.A. Ray, applied for Confederate Widow's Pension (# 14356) on August 7, 1901 in Ashley County, Arkansas. Her husband W.A. Ray served in Company D 43rd Mississippi Infantry, CSA from 1862 to 1865. W.A. Ray died in 1891.
*Note although the Arkansas pension book gives her name as "Henrietta", on the application she signed her name "Henretta".
